This retreat is about bringing balance into our lives as Christian women. Balance in everything is what Ecclesiastes 3 is about.

For everything there is a season AND THAT INCLUDES LAUGHTER. Laughter is often the part of being a Christian Woman that we forget about. Although we will discuss balance in all areas of our lives in this retreat we will focus on the fun part. The laughter we so often forget.

Being a Christian often carries with it a sense of seriousness. It has a sense of responsibility that can weigh heavy on our hearts and minds. We are told we should and shouldn't do this and that, we must do this and we can't do that. We are told to be a good example of what "being Christian" means. Somewhere along the way someone forgot to tell us that being Christ Like means enjoying our life and celebrating Christ with Joy in our hearts. Jesus says in John 10:10 "....I came that you may have and enjoy life in abundance, to the full, until it overflows!"

Laughter also has physiological benefits such as activating the immune system and decreasing "stress" hormones. Many doctors confirm the effect of humor on our bodies which some call "humor therapy." It's amazing how humor can not only lift our spirit but it can also heal our body.

In the words of a woman of God that I know and love dearly "She, who laughs, lasts." It is my desire to bring joy and laughter to Women of God everywhere. I am confident that you will enjoy yourself at this retreat and may even go home with cheeks that are sore from using muscles you haven't used enough and with new stories to tell to your family and friends.
